Nana's Fresh Apple Bundt Cake

Ingredients

Apple Bundt Cake

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups fresh green apples peeled and cubed
  • 2-4 teaspoon allspice

Brown Sugar Icing

  • 2.5 cups brown sugar light or dark
  • 16 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bag powdered sugar

Instructions

Apple Bundt Cake

  • Preheat oven to 325F.
  • Cream sugar, eggs, and oil.
  • Add flour and spices.
  • Stir in apples.
  • Bake for about 45 minutes in a 12-cup bundt pan.

Brown Sugar Icing

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat, except powdered sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring for 30 seconds. Turn heat off. Add powdered sugar until the mixture reaches your desired consistency. The icing hardens slightly as it cools.
